When the ER doctor says "you're going to lose that kidney if we don't get this infection cleared up'... that's a bad thing.

Especially because my regular doctor earlier in the day had tested for the exact same infection, and thought it was gone. Yeah, not gone at all.

And now I have uber-strong antibiotics to go with my steroids and everything else.

... ...

I posted notes on all my RP comms saying I was going to be slow and everything. It's a little sad to realize how much RPing I had been doing lately... just looking at all those open logs I was holding up made me go "HOW THE HELL DO YOU EXPECT TO KEEP UP EVEN WHEN YOU'RE HEALTHY?'

Plus I still have fic I want to finish. And, you know, RL concerns. ... I really have to do some of that prioritizing shit one of these days.

Plus I'm now broke. At least until the first. I hate when you buy things that you've been waiting on for a while (a TV in this case, mostly) and then suddenly all these expenses come up and you're like "I WISH I HADN'T GOTTEN THAT."

... It's almost school time, anyway. Which means I won't be babysitting all the time, and hopefully I can talk to people about my own kid's schooling. After that's taken care of... maybe I can get a job. Or go to school. Or both.

You take care of yourself! I went through the same thing years ago when I was 12; 3 kidney infections within months of each other and in the end my doctor got scared enough that if it showed up again I was being hospitalized until the horse pills I'd been taking for ages actually worked. Thankfully it didn't return after the third time.

Heavy antibiotics are not fun things at all!

Yeah I'm still feeling pretty crummy, and I'm almost through the course of antibiotics. *pouts* So idk yet what's going on.

When I was a kid I had kidney infections A LOT, but I hadn't had one in years. Now I broke my streak. Hopefully they'll figure it out though.

I'm doing great! Keeping myself busy with all things children, and wallowing in the messes my daughter makes for me on an hourly basis. She's such a dear like that.

School! Already? Man, how time flies. Now you might have time to yourself. If you know what you want to go to school for I say do that and a part time job.

You seem pretty busy whenever on AIM so I don't really bother you. How are you besides the infection?

Ahhh. Yeah I somehow seem to have fifty people talking to me all the time, or be off doing other things while trying to chat. *Flails a little*

Other than the infection, to be honest, I'm rather lonely and bored. I did spent much of the summer at Sayo's watching her kids, which was more fun than sitting at home, but I'm sad that things worked out to where I had to lose my job at the bookstore. (Stupid daycare issues.)

D is doing all right. He still has seizures more than we'd like, but he's getting to see his dad again, which is good. He's still not learning things very well, but hopefully if I can get him in school, that will help.

Oh goodness, I hope the infection gets cleared up quickly, so you can lower your medicinal dosage. That's enough meds to make anyone a little crazy *worries*.

I think it's absolutely positively fantastic that you are going to school. It will raise your chances of being able to raise your standard of living! I'm so grateful myself that I've had the opportunity to get higher education, and that I am still continuing in school. It doesn't magically fix everything, but it's a huge consolation that maybe I/we will be able to get a good job out of it, that can pay enough to... survive. xD;

Mm well I'm TRYING to do the school thing, but I'm not sure yet. It's on my list of things to try to get done, but it has to wait until after I get Dusty into school, which is a complicated process considering his condition. >>
